Bob's Life Story ...

     Bob began playing ... music at the age of 5, on an antique 1800's pump organ given to him from his grandmother.  He began formal instruction at age eleven and began his music career at age thirteen as Assistant Organist at his home town church, in Elizabeth, PA

     At the age of fourteen ... he was accepted into the Student Arts Program at Duquesne University School of Music in Pittsburgh, PA  where he studied piano, organ and voice and continued his studies there through his high school and college years.  

     During Bob's high school years ... he also studied trumpet and baritone horn under brass specialist, Edward Shiner, and at the age of sixteen had the honor of performing with the Pittsburgh Symphony in an all Tchaikovsky program featuring Pianist Van Cliburn, with Donald Johanos conducting.   

  His piano instructors included ... Sr. Carole Ann Riley, C.D.P., PhD, Joan Condre and Yee-Ha Chiu, (M.M., Julliard). His organ instructors included Eleanor Ruhl, Stanley Tagg and Ann Labounsky, PhD, FAGO, (Disciple of French Composer Jean Langlais).

During Bob's College years ... he was also in the Honors Theory Program, where he studied Theory, Arranging, and Composition with the prolific American Composer, Joseph Wilcox Jenkins, PhD.

         Highlights in his career ... have included over forty five years in Music Ministry, Music Production, Music Theatre and Concert Work in numerous avenues in Pittsburgh, PA, Orlando, FL and LA, California.

     Bob's early tenure ... in his music career began in Pittsburgh, PA where he worked in all facets of music and could be seen performing all over town, from Churches to Theatre, on the Gateway Clipper Riverboats and the prestigious Christopher's Restaurant,  VIP events around town including a private dinner cruise for over 30 USA Governors in 1985, and was featured on WTAE Television a few times as a local Performing Artist. 

     In 1989 Bob migrated to Orlando, FL ... and became a special events pianist for Walt Disney World Productions where he had the honor of performing for numerous Celebrities and Dignitaries, from Doris Day to Dustin Hoffman and royalty such as Princess Diana, Princess Caroline, and Prince Rainer III.

     He was also a Performing Artist ... for Disney shows and productions as well as a Music Director for Disney S.T.A.G.E Productions.  His career with Disney continued for eighteen wonderful years. 

     From 1995 to 2000 ... Bob was also Music Director, Arranger and Keyboard Artist for the Black Hills Passion Play in Lake Wales, FL  under the Direction of Johanna Meier, and Music Director for their Canadian tour in 2000. 

      In 2007 Bob relocated to LA ... California where he continued his career in Music Ministry, Music Production and Performing.

      Also in 2007, Bob was invited ... to perform in a tribute concert in Pittsburgh, PA for David Craighead, "America's Organist", hosted by the American Guild of Organists and Duquesne University, at which time Bob composed and dedicated one of his own pieces for the occasion. 

     In 2009 ... Bob was asked to be Music Director for a production of "Paul, the Musical”, written and produced by Fr. Michael Manning, SVD and WorldNet Television Productions in LA, CA.

     In 2012 Bob had the highest honor ... of performing one of his own compositions, the "St. Ann Suite”, dedicated to Dr. Ann Labounsky at the historic Heinz Chapel in Pittsburgh, PA for the National Symposium on the music of French Composer Charles Tournemire, sponsored by the Church Music Association of America, the American Guild of Organists and Duquesne University.  

     Bob is currently ...  a Music minister, a PANDORA music artist and the pianist for the O-55 Jazz ensemble at Polk State College in Winter Haven, FL.  His music may be listened to on many venues, including PANDORA, SPOTIFY, YOU TUBE, ITUNES and ... .
